Terms of use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the GeneratorsMarket website, seller tools and related services (together, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
Last updated: August 2026
Agreement and acceptance
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the operator of GeneratorsMarket (“GeneratorsMarket”, “we”, “us” or “our”). If you use the Platform on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company, and “you” includes that company.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform. Supplemental policies linked from the Platform (including the Privacy Policy and published pricing information) form part of this agreement where applicable.
Marketplace role
GeneratorsMarket operates an online marketplace that helps buyers discover generators, related equipment and services offered by third-party sellers in the United Arab Emirates, and that helps sellers publish listings and receive buyer enquiries.
We are not a party to any sale, rental, inspection, shipping, financing or other transaction between a buyer and a seller. We do not take possession of equipment, set transaction prices, guarantee availability or condition, or act as broker, agent, auctioneer or insurer for either party, unless we expressly state otherwise in a separate written agreement.
Commercial negotiations, payment for equipment, delivery, customs, warranties and after-sales support are arranged directly between the parties off-platform. We do not charge a commission on completed equipment transactions.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable UAE law to use the Platform. Seller accounts are intended for businesses and traders offering generators, rental capacity or related services. We may refuse, suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe information is false, incomplete or used for abuse.
You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly via the Contact page if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require identity, company or contact verification before enabling certain seller features.
Seller listings and conduct
Sellers must ensure that every listing is accurate, current and not misleading, including photographs, power ratings, condition, location, price (where shown) and ownership or authority to sell or hire the unit. Listings must describe equipment or services that are genuinely available.
You must keep contact telephone and WhatsApp channels reachable during ordinary business hours. If stock is sold, reserved or otherwise unavailable, you must update or archive the listing without undue delay.
We may review, refuse, edit metadata for, demote, hide or remove listings that appear incomplete, deceptive, duplicate, spam-like, illegal, or otherwise harmful to marketplace integrity. Removal for breach may include forfeiture of associated credits without refund where reasonably justified.
Credits, packages and payments
Sellers may purchase credit packages and visibility upgrades as described on the Pricing page and in the seller panel. Credits are digital entitlements for Platform features (for example, publishing a listing or applying a time-limited boost). Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value outside the Platform, and may expire as stated for the relevant package.
At launch, package purchases are requested in the seller panel and paid via a manual Ziina payment link or equivalent instructions we provide. Credits are granted to the seller ledger only after our staff confirm receipt of payment. Published prices are exclusive of UAE VAT unless expressly stated otherwise.
Credit movements are recorded in an append-only ledger for accounting and transparency. We may reverse or adjust credits in cases of confirmed payment failure, duplicate grant, fraud, or material breach, and we will record the reason in our systems where practicable.
Buyer use and contact tools
Buyers may browse public listings and contact sellers without creating an account. Contact tools (such as revealing a telephone number or opening a WhatsApp conversation) are provided to facilitate direct communication with the seller of a specific listing or showroom.
You must not scrape, harvest or bulk-collect contact details; send spam or automated messages; misrepresent your identity or purpose; or use contact tools for purposes unrelated to a genuine enquiry about the listed goods or services. We may rate-limit, block or investigate abusive use.
When you use a contact tool, we may record a contact event (including technical identifiers such as hashed visitor and IP data) so that sellers can review lead activity and so that we can operate spam controls and product analytics.
Rental requests
Where the Platform accepts rental request forms (RFQs), you authorise us to share the details you submit with rental companies or dealers we reasonably select for fulfilment. Submission of an RFQ does not guarantee a quote, availability or price.
Any hire agreement is formed solely between you and the rental provider. GeneratorsMarket is not responsible for equipment performance, mobilisation, damage, insurance or payment under that hire.
Acceptable use
You must not use the Platform to publish illegal goods or services; infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; upload malware; attempt to circumvent security, moderation or payment controls; reverse-engineer non-public parts of the Platform except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law; or interfere with other users’ enjoyment of the Platform.
We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, cancel pending package requests, or cooperate with authorities where we reasonably believe these Terms, applicable law or third-party rights have been violated.
Intellectual property
The Platform’s branding, design, software, databases and documentation are owned by GeneratorsMarket or its licensors. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to access the Platform for its intended purpose.
You retain ownership of listing content you submit, and you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content on and in connection with the Platform (including search indexing, previews and marketing of the marketplace). You represent that you have the rights needed to grant this licence.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability and non-infringement. We do not warrant the accuracy of seller-provided listing content or the identity, creditworthiness or performance of any user.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GeneratorsMarket shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of or related to the Platform or any off-platform transaction. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Platform in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the amounts you paid us for credits in that period (or AED 1,000 if you have paid nothing).
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GeneratorsMarket and its officers, contractors and partners from reasonable claims, losses, damages and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your listings, your off-platform transactions, your misuse of contact tools, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.
Suspension, termination and survival
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for breach, legal risk, non-payment, or prolonged inactivity. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law) will survive termination.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of Dubai shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us via the Contact page and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally within thirty (30) days.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do so. Material changes will be posted on this page; where appropriate, we may also notify registered sellers through the Platform or by email.
Continued use of the Platform after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform.
Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent through the Contact page. We aim to respond within one business day for ordinary operational enquiries.
